Rato Laka, which translates to My Love, is a tender, soul-stirring R&B ballad that Themba wrote and produced. Known for his timeless love songs, this release marks a personal milestone.
“I’ve written countless love songs, but had never explored love in Sesotho. I wanted to understand how love sounds, feels and breathes in my mother tongue. Singing in Sesotho unlocked something incredibly powerful. It carries emotion differently. Love, in its truest form, is patient, enduring and intentional,” he said.
With his smooth vocals layered over rich, contemporary R&B production, Rato Laka speaks to mature love, the kind that remains when passion fades, and commitment deepens. It is intimate and universal, grounded in African identity while resonating far beyond borders.
To celebrate the release, Temba will embark on a national radio and media tour, with a strong focus on Sesotho-speaking and community radio stations across the country.
