Help family locate missing Orlando East man Karabo Moloi
The family of 22-year-old Karabo ‘KB’ Moloi is appealing to the public for help after he went missing in Orlando East in December.
The family of Karabo ‘KB’ Moloi (22) is pleading with residents to help locate him after he went missing on December 16, 2025.
According to information provided, Moloi was allegedly last seen in Orlando East being arrested by the police for a suspected cellphone robbery that he and his friends were a part of.
His mother, Tebogo Moloi, said that among his four friends that he was last seen with, he is the only one who has went missing since that day.

“Upon realising that he was missing, I questioned his friends who he was last seen with, but they just said he was arrested by the police. I opened a missing person case on December 18 at Diepkloof police station and continued to search for him at local police stations, courts, and Bara Hospital.
“It has now been a month, and no one knows about his whereabouts. There are no leads or new information coming forward,” Tebogo said.
She added that as a family, they suspect that if he was indeed arrested, he registered a fake name and surname for his arrest.
“At this point, we believe that he gave the police the wrong details. Karabo stays with grandmother, while I stay in Alexandra due to work.

“It has came to my attention that he has recently been mixing with the wrong crowd because he was never like this; his behaviour has changed severely recently, but even if that is the case, we cannot give up on him.
“He is a child, and he has made mistakes like other children.”
Tebogo said that the police have not been helpful with the case, and there has been no communication from their side.
“When I opened the case, the investigating officer on the case told me to go look for him at the mortuary.
“That is a very traumatic thing for a law enforcement officer to say, and it really breaks my heart because I still believe that my son is alive.
“Thus far, no communication has been made from the police. All I need is for them to investigate and help me locate my son.”
Tebogo added that this has taken a toll on Moloi’s grandmother who has now had people attempting to break into her home twice.
“A lot of people in the area say Karabo was part of the Amapantsula Gang, which is known for terrorising the community.
“We don’t know if his disappearance and the attempted house break-ins are part of his alleged affiliation. If anyone has information or has seen Karabo, they can contact me on 068 051 8260.”
