Winnie Radebe Foundation shows support to vulnerable learners

The initiative aims to support children from disadvantaged families, ensuring they have something to eat and do not go to bed hungry at the end of the day.

Winnie Radebe Foundation extended a helping hand to learners at Protea Glen Secondary School by donating 40 food parcels, offering vital support and restoring hope to families facing hardship on February 10.

Chairperson of the foundation, Winnie Radebe, said the initiative aims to support children from disadvantaged families, ensuring they have something to eat and do not go to bed hungry.

“We have received valuable support from other stakeholders who have helped make this initiative possible, and we are truly grateful for their contribution.

“This effort is not about us, but about our children, many of whom come from families where no one is employed, and some are orphaned. Through this support, we aim to provide proper nutrition, uplift their spirits, and ensure they remain focused and motivated in their school work,” she said.

She further stated that, as an NPO, they plan to continue assisting children and hope to gain more support in the future, as their goal is to reach and help even more children in need.
