With the South Africa’s official unemployment rate rising to 32.7 percent in the first quarter of 2026, up from 31.4 percent in Q4 2025, leaving about 8.1 million people unemployed the chairperson of Think Growth Foundation, Maria Namusa is confident that their program will bring change in the lives of Diepkloof entrepreneurs.

” As a lot of youngsters now face the reality of being unemployed for a long period of time, we are here to encourage them to start their own businesses because the jobs in our country are very scarce and this is the reality our country is currently in,” Namusa said.
