Top-performing school in Pimville promises brighter future

With the top performer of the Class of 2025 bagging 7 distinctions, the school looks forward to a better year for the Class of 2026.

Ranked as the top-performing school in Pimville, Progress Comprehensive High School (PCHS) has performed well and has attained a pass rate of 92.1%.

Principal of PCHS, Caroline Monageng, told Urban News that she is still in disbelief at the quality results achieved.

“I am very happy, the children were committed and showed dedication from the beginning till the end, and the results speak for themselves. I wish the class of 2025 well and believe that they will continue to make us proud,” said Monageng.

Top achiever Nsaseko Matobela, who earned seven distinctions, celebrates with teachers as Progress Comprehensive High School marks strong matric results for the Class of 2025.

With the school performing well in most subjects, including Geography, Economics and Accounting, Nsaseko Matobela has bagged a total of seven distinctions.

When asked how he felt, proud Matobela said he expected these results as he has been a top performer throughout high school and would like to thank all of the educators who made sure that he did not drop the ball.

“I applied to most institutions and have been accepted at UCT, Stellenbosch and UJ for Mechanical Engineering, and I look forward to venturing out and seeing what the world has in store for me,” said Matobela.

Teachers beamed with pride as they celebrated with the Class of 2025, wishing them well.
