Nhlangwini, excited to represent Diepkloof nationally.

Kagiso Nhlangwini (11) from Zone 4 has qualified for the District 14 running team that will be competing at the nationals.

Nhlangwini, who has more running medals than anyone can achieve in a lifetime said that he feels proud to represent Diepkloof at the nationals.

“I started running in Grade One; I chose it because it is something I love to do. I’m excited to be in the District 14 team and I know I’m going to perform well,” he said.

The 11-year-old pupil from Theo Wassenaar Laerskool in Robertsham said that he wants to be a professional runner when he grows up.

“I am ready for the anything. I have been waking up at 4:30 am to prepare for the nationals. I also have a trainer who has been preparing me for the nationals,” he said.

The nationals will be in Cape Town on March 21-22.

Nhlangwini left for Cape Town, where the nationals will be taking place, this past Wednesday.
