The awards were given to most improved player, most valuable player, best batsman, best bowler best all-rounder and best fielder.

Learners, parents and coaches were gathered at Bakerton Secondary School for the Bakerton Young Star Cricket Club (BYSCC) junior medal ceremony on Saturday.

The awards were given to the most improved player, most valuable player, best batsman, best bowler, best all-rounder and best fielder in the u-8, u-10, u-12 and u-14 teams.

No individual trophies were handed to the u-8 team as participation and teamwork, not individual performances, were the most important element.

Coach Himmat Parbhooo congratulated the teams on their improved performance, as well as the mothers for their support which motivated the cricketers.

The u-8 team finished 10th out of 15 teams in the u-8 Night Festival Tournament.
