According to Springs police spokesman Captain Johannes Ramphora, three unknown men entered the shop and pretended to be customers.
He says one of the suspects bought a cold drink and asked for fried chips and when the owner replied that there were no chips left as it was almost closing time, the suspects then left the shop.
Capt Ramphora continues to say after a few minutes the suspects stormed back into the shop, pointing a gun at some of the customers and the shop staff, also demanding money from the manager. The suspects took 50 packets of cigarettes and robbed one of the customers of his cell phone.
