The man, who was driving from Secunda, decided to pull off the road unaware that he was making himself a victim to four hijackers. Captain Johannes Ramphora of the Springs police says the suspects who were driving a Nissan Xtrail stopped next to the victim’s car and got out, pointing a firearm at him.
He says the suspects instructed the victim to lie down and demanded his bank cards and pin code.
After getting what they demanded from the victim, two of the suspects jumped into the victims’ car and drove towards KwaThema while the remaining two suspects forced the victim to go with them in their car and followed the victim’s car.
The suspects dropped the victim in Langaville and drove away with both cars. A case of hijacking was later opened at KwaThema Police Station by the victim.
