N17 host pregnancy awareness day

The N17 Hospital’s maternity unit and Stork’s Nest hosted pregnancy awareness day on Friday.

Several display tables with lots of freebies were set up in the main reception area at the hospital.

Chantelle Potgieter, Lizel Uckerman and Angelique Swart were among the pregnant women who enjoyed the advice given on the day.

Spokesman for the hospital Leana Haywood says hospital staff were involved to make this day a success and to hand out the freebies.

Pregnant women received free health education and information on pregnancy, pregnancy products, health during pregnancy, baby products and family planning.

Lizel says she enjoyed the time spent at each table and the freebies were a good gesture.
