Mais van Vuuren (20) was sentenced to three years imprisonment, suspended for five years, on condition that he is not convicted of a crime committed during the period of the suspension.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, the SAPS spokesman, says van Vuuren kidnapped a 14-year-old girl at a local high school on August 15, 2016.
“He was arrested on the same day,” says Ramphora.
