Springs Boys’ High School set to host annual Remembrance Day service

Springs Boys’ High School will host its annual Remembrance Day service on November 11 to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives in service of the country, as well as former teachers, staff and learners.

Springs Boys High School is set to host their annual Remembrance Day service on November 11 at 11:30 for 11:45.

Principal Diane Freeman said the service commemorates not only learners who lost their lives in service of the country, but all people who “gave their tomorrow so that we can have a better today”.

An invitation is extended to all interested persons to attend.

“Persons wishing to lay a wreath at this occasion are requested to contact the school. Attendance will be by booking only. Entry to the school will be at the Eldoret Road entrance,” Freeman said.

The service will also pay tribute to teachers, staff and learners of the school who have passed away and plaques are placed on the school’s “Wall of Remembrance”.

Family members who would like to have plaques erected in honour of a loved one are requested to contact the school on 011 818 2175.

Those who would like to attend are encouraged to RSVP by November 5 on 011 818 2175.
