Suspects ask robbers to keep quiet during robbery

Two suspects, wearing caps, choose early hours to rob a house.

Suspects forced open a glass sliding door to gain entry to a house in Meyer Drive, Wright Park on Thursday morning.

The suspects surprised two people, asleep in the house, and one woman sleeping in an outside room at 5am.

SAPS spokesperson, Capt Johannes Ramphora, says the victims were instructed to keep quiet.

When the suspects entered the first bedroom they took two cellphones and a tablet.

“They then proceeded to the next bedroom, where they took a cellphone and a wrist watch,” says Ramphora.

The suspects left the house and forced the door to an outside room open where they took a cellphone, R500 in cash, a DVD player, three speakers, a hair clipper and two wrist watches.

Ramphora says the suspects were allegedly wearing caps.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery.
