Springs man tied up and covered in blanket as suspects enter his room

A man was surprised when three suspects entered his room during a storm.

A man was accosted in his bedroom by three suspects in Paul Krugersoord at around 11pm on January 25.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, the spokesperson of the Springs police, says the complainant woke up from the rain.

“He was smoking a cigarette when he looked through the window and saw three men in the field at the back of his room,” he says.

The complainant went back to bed but the next moment a suspect was in his room and wrestled with him.

Another two suspects, armed with knives, entered and tied his arms and legs and covered him with a blanket.

“After a while, one of the suspects returned and cut the complainant loose.

“The suspect allegedly said it was because the complainant was good,” says Ramphora.

Six 20-litre tins of paint were stolen as was a generator.

No injuries occurred and police are investigating a case of house robbery.
