The man was waiting outside the gate for his wife to arrive when he was approached by a suspect who pointed a firearm at him.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesperson for the Springs police, says another suspect entered the passenger side of the vehicle.

“The complainant threw the vehicle’s keys out the window and one of the suspects went to retrieve the keys.”
When the complainant got out of the vehicle, one of the suspects stabbed him in his right hand.
The suspects then drove off with the vehicle.

No arrests have been made and a case of hijacking is being investigated.
