Families in Springs can now go for game drives at the Dirkie Meyer Park.
This comes after Nenna’s Café opened in what used to be the old Springs Zoo.
“I was initially looking for space for 15 geese and I found it here.
“So I thought why not incorporate the wildlife?

There will be supervised field trips into the park for young and old at a fee of R10 per person.
On show at the park are animals such as blesbok, bush pigs, rabbits, peacocks, as well as a variety of birdlife.

The animals are well looked after and roam free in the park.
Money raised from the game drives will go towards the upkeep of the park and the animals.
Later on, there will be weekend flea markets, farmers’ markets and lots more activities.
The park will be open every day from 9am.
