Springs Girls High School wins at Gauteng East District Awards

The awards celebrated various schools' achievements in the 2018 National Senior Certificate Examinations.

Springs Girls High School learners and teachers were rewarded for their hard work at the Gauteng East District Awards which took place at Stable Inn on February 8.

The awards celebrated various schools’ achievements in the 2018 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.

Thirteen educators and two learners from Springs Girls High School received subject awards.

The school was also awarded the following certificates:

• Certificate of Excellence for outstanding performance in the 2018 NSC Examinations.

• Certificate for the most bachelor’s passes in the district.

• Certificate for achieving 100 per cent pass rate in the 2018 NSC examinations.

Two learners were also lauded for their performance in last year’s exams.

• Amy Brits – top learner in Afrikaans First Additional Language.

• Chiquita van der Ryst – top learner in consumer studies.
