A man was hijacked on Wit Road last Saturday afternoon after stopping to answer his cellphone.
Springs Police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the complainant was driving his white Jetta 2 when he received a phone call and stopped next to a church to answer it.
He stepped out of the car and while talking on his cellphone, a suspect appeared and pointed a firearm at him.

The victim was instructed not to come near the suspect and he got inside the vehicle and drove off.
No shots were fired and the victim was not injured.
