Scouts help the disabled

Thanks to their dedication and teamwork, they were able to collect enough of these items to procure one wheelchair, which went to the Sweetheart Foundation.

The Cubs scouts, scouts and members of the public helped the Springs Central Air Scouts collect bottle lids and bread tags to make a difference.

One of the scouts’ projects this year was to collect bottle lids and bread tags which will be handed over to an organisation to purchase wheelchairs for the disabled.

Springs Central Air Scouts started the project from August until November, and all cubs scouts and many members of the Springs community took part collecting bottle lids and bread tags.

Thanks to their dedication and teamwork, they were able to collect enough of these items to procure one wheelchair, which went to the Sweetheart Foundation.

Melissa Campbell of the Springs Central Air Scouts says they will continue on with the the project for a longer period in 2020 to ensure they collect more of these items and make an even bigger difference in the lives of the needy.
