Burst pipe causes flooded road

A burst pipe has flooded the majority of Evans Road in Welgedacht and the road is unusable.

Resident Flippie Short says the problem has persisted since 2017.

Short says the flood is caused by a burst pipe and only temporary repairs have been made.

A veld to the right of the road is also flooded, indicating that the burst pipe might be a major pipeline.

Ward Clr Dean Stone says he is sure that it must be a large pipeline burst due to the amount of water flooding the road and will be making inquiries.
