Young and Upcoming: Mahume chats with Lisa Mbali

Talking to us about her journey to fame, Lisa Mbali says that it wasn’t always easy, especially for her family to accept that music is what wants to peruse.

Welcome to another episode of #YoungAndUpComing where we feature emerging talent from individuals who are doing amazing things in their respective industries.

In this episode, we feature an amazing and talented person by the name of Lisa Mbali. This beautiful artist is signed to Ambitiouz Entertainment and is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.

I first heard her on Kid Tini’s Bekezela record way back in 2017. Fast forward a year later, the young queen from Port Elizabeth released her first solo song with Ambitiouz, titled #NoMore.

Talking to us about her journey to fame, Lisa Mbali says that it wasn’t always easy, especially for her family to accept that music is what wants to peruse.

Her latest offering, #Ngamthola, is a follow-up to #NoMore and according to the 25-year-old, the song is inspired by her struggle of finding the right partner and after a few huddles, finally hitting the jackpot when she found someone whom she describes as her savour.

Yip gentlemen, unfortunately, she’s taken, but by who we ask? What inspires her, what are some of her greatest success stories and why is she scared of flying? We tackle all of this in our latest episode of #YoungAndUpcoming

An AFDA (Africa Film Drama Art) alumni, Lisa used to perform at private events and before she was signed to Ambitiouz.

We sat down with this lovely soul to talk #music and to find out what got her writing such beautiful music.
