Senior centre pulling out all the stops to prevent the spread of the coronavirus

Some residents are also wearing gloves and masks to be extra safe.

With the Covid-19 virus’ arrival in South Africa, the Springs Senior Centre is doing all it can to prevent contamination.

All visitors and residents are required to sanitise their hands at the entrance.

In addition, all door handles are sanitised at regular intervals throughout the day.

Chefs preparing the food are required to wear gloves and masks to avoid spreading the virus.

The centre will also be implementing a take-away system where citizens can collect hygienically prepared food.

In the dining hall, the tables have been separated two metres apart, and are restricted to a maximum of six people per table.

The centre hopes to continue its bread-feeding scheme, if possible.
