A woman was shot in her right thigh during a home invasion in Dersley last Saturday morning.
The woman told police she was sleeping when she was woken up by the sound of a window breaking.
She woke up to check what was happening and when she opened her bedroom door, she found three armed men.

They pushed her back into her bedroom before they took her jewellery box and a smart TV.
Before fleeing the premises, they shot her in the leg.
She was taken to Far East Rand Hospital for treatment and police said she was in a stable condition.
The jewellery box was later found on the same street.
A case of house robbery and attempted murder has been opened at the Springs Police Station.
