The R60-million PAM Brink reservoir is almost ready to be used.
City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Zweli Dlamini said all that remains is for the reservoir to be tested.

The reservoir will hold 25 megalitres and in the event of an interrupted water supply from Rand Water, can supply an estimated 100 000 households with water for up to 24 hours.
When asked if there is a backup generator to power the reservoir in case of a power cut, Dlamini said, “There is no backup generator. This will be considered when constructing the new proposed pump station.”
