River of sewage runs down Slovo Park

JJ Lucas is fed up with the sewage on his street and wants the City of Ekurhuleni to fix the problem.

Residents in Slovo Park are at their wits’ end regarding the sewage problem.
They state they have reported the matter to the City of Ekurhuleni for the past four weeks but nothing has been done.

The sewage has been flowing for the past four weeks and residents are frustrated with the City’s lack of action.

“I think the people who work in the sanitation department work as they please. It cannot be that a sewage pipe is blocked for a month and nothing is done about it.

“It’s not good for our health, especially the young children,” said the residents.
One resident, who lives on Durban Drive, said the sewage piles up in front of his gate and makes it hard for him to leave the house.
