Man nabbed for kidnapping and raping a teen

The friends were walking along Paul Kruger Highway in Kingsway when they were kidnapped.

A 14-year-old girl was raped after being abducted along with her two friends last Monday afternoon.
The friends were walking along Paul Kruger Highway in Kingsway when they were kidnapped.
“Three males travelling in a white truck stopped and approached the victim and her friends.
“The men then forced the young girls into the truck,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora of the Springs police.
The trio took the victims to a block of flats in Springs.
“One of the suspects then raped the 14-year-old girl through the night.
“The next morning, the victim managed to escape and she noticed a K9 police vehicle and asked officers for help,” he added.

The police officers then took the victim to the Springs Police Station where a case of rape and kidnapping was opened.
“The police intensified the operation in search for the suspects, one of whom was found inside the flat and was identified by the victim.
“He was arrested, charged and detained at the Springs Police Station,” said Ramphora.
Local police are still searching for the other two men and request the community’s assistance in tracing them.
