Intersection gets cleaned

"We know community-driven projects are important and hope that we can create a glimmer of hope with every action that we launch."

On March 21, AfriForum Springs embarked on a clean-up campaign at the corner of Ermelo and Wit roads.
The area was overgrown with weeds and long grass.
AfriForum Springs chairperson Cornel Swart said AfriForum volunteers wanted to make the intersection slightly more visible for oncoming traffic.

Members of AfriForum transformed the area.

“The section looks 95% better. We know community-driven projects are important and hope we can create a glimmer of hope with every action we launch,” said Swart.

Councillor Mike du Toit also came to show support for the clean-up and volunteers appreciated his presence.
“We also want to thank the ward councillor for coming to show his support with this initiative and we hope he does the same with others with such a good cause,” said Swart.
