Springs annual chess open tournament is back
Bring your family and friends along for a day filled with chess

Springs Chess Club, together with Ekurhuleni Chess, will be hosting their annual chess open tournament on September 3.
The annual event sees chess players in Ekurhuleni get together to compete in different sections.
Each section consists of five rounds. Each round is two hours long with 60 minutes allocated to each player.

Due to Covid, there were no tournaments in 2020 and 2021. In 2019, there 278 players competed.
What makes this tournament unique compared to previous and other Ekurhuleni tournaments is that it will be the first time that there will be a section for braille (blind) chess players.
This fun-filled day, which will also include a lot of socialising and food stalls, will take place at the NG Church in 47 Botha Street, Geduld Ext.
