EMPD Bronberg precinct officers arrested two men for a burglary and theft at a business, drunk driving, as well as reckless and negligent driving on Tuesday evening.
According to EMPD spokesperson Kelebogile Thepa, officers received information about a grey VW Polo 6 that fled from the scene of a burglary at a business in the Springs CBD.
They were driving towards Kingsway Road in the direction of Daveyton.
“The officers spotted the vehicle with the same registration plate that matched the description given,” said Thepa.

“A high-speed chase ensued and the runaway vehicle came to an abrupt halt on Kingsway Road.”
The pair, alleged to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, were arrested.
The vehicle used in the commission of a crime was booked in at the police station, pending further investigations.
