Measles is a very contagious respiratory infection that causes a body rash and flu-like symptoms.
The more parents delay in signing the consent form for children who are in schools or taking children to nearby clinics for immunisation, the more rampant the spread of measles will be.
Parents who may have immunised their children for measles at six months are encouraged to take them to the clinic for booster shots for increased protection from the disease.
