Springs couple celebrates 65 years in love
The couple from Casseldale celebrated their blue sapphire anniversary on May 31.
Constant support has always formed part of the cornerstones for Ronnie (89) and Thelma (87) Izatt’s 65-year-long marriage.
The couple from Casseldale celebrated their blue sapphire anniversary on May 31.
Their son, Robbie, speaks of his parents as being one of the few constants in his life.
“Lots of things change in our lifetime and we must value the constants,” he said.

Noting how his parents are always together, he fondly recalls the things they love doing.
“They now enjoy sitting in their garden and are constantly giving each other a little mumbling,” he remarked with a laugh.
The couple have three children, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Their strong bond is a testament to the values they have instilled in their family.
Love and respect for each other have been important in the success of their relationship.
