Ekurhuleni regains control of compromised Facebook page
The CoE was without its page for quite a time after being hacked. The city confirmed they had regained control of the page and strengthened security.

The quick response from CoE, working closely with Meta (Facebookâs guarding company), ensured they fixed the problem quickly and protected the page.
Although the city strengthened its security to prevent further attacks, it advised the public to stay vigilant and immediately report strange activity on its social media platforms.
