SOB cricket sweeps first division of the season
Springs Old Boys (SOB) Cricket Club teams made several wins over the past weekend.
In the first division match of the season, the Springs Old Boys (SOB) Cricket Club participated in various matches over the weekend.
The senior team won by defeating Nigel Cricket Club with 30 runs.
Captain Rian van der Merwe top-scored with 145 runs in a low-scoring match where the team scored 139/10, while Jaco Potgieter showcased good bowling techniques.
Potgieter scored 10 overs and 30 runs for three wickets, followed by Neil Joubert taking 4.2 overs, 2 runs and five wickets.

The SOB juniors made a remarkable impression by winning against their opponents too. The U8 won against the Duduza Cricket Club in an away game.
The U10 Kingham won against Wattville Cricket Club by 220 runs and the U10 Sibali team won against Katlehong.
The U12 Impala One defeated Bedfordview Cricket Club on their home ground by 10 runs, while Impala Two won against Wattville by 59 runs.
SOB’s U12 Kingham team won by 15 runs against Katlehong with the U14 Impala winning by 65 runs against Duduza.
