The Springs police are investigating two unrelated murders that occurred over the weekend in Springs.

The Springs SAPS are on the hunt for murder suspects in two unrelated cases that were reported on Saturday and Sunday morning.

According to Springs SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, police were notified on November 2 by a local hospital about a 21-year-old man who had been brought in after being shot. When the police arrived at the hospital, the man had succumbed to his injuries.

“The man was lying in the hospital bed in a pool of blood with gun wounds on his upper body,” said Tshabalala.

On November 3, police received information about a man who was stabbed along Second Street in Springs New.

“Upon arrival the police found the unknown deceased lying in a pool of blood with two stab wounds on his upper body,” said Tshabalala.

“When they searched him they found Renault car keys in his possession. However, there was no sign of the car.”
