Gingers golfers tee off
Golf enthusiasts gathered at the Pollak Park Golf Club to participate in the Gingers Golf Day monthly competition on Saturday.
Fifty-two golfers were in full swing at the Pollak Park Golf Club at the Gingers Golf Day monthly competition on Saturday.
Golf enthusiasts showcased their skills under a lovely summer sun with a nice cool breeze in the morning.
Harvey Scott said that the greens were in excellent conditions, and with many of the bunkers being rebuilt, they had an enjoyable play.
Winning first place was Grant Robertson with 38 points, followed by Thys Franken in second place with 37 points oco and Kyle Robertson in third place with 37 points.
The rest of the winners were:
- Milk tart doubles: Raymond and Connor Marran with 49 points.
- King of the shorts: Raymond Marran with 12 points.
- Longest drive: Kobus van Zyl.
- Closest to the pin for 3 on a par 5: Kobus van Zyl.
- Closest to the pin in 2 on a par 4: Chris Shorter.
- Closest to the pin for 1 on a par 3: Raymond Marran
- Lucky draw: Ben Jager
Harvey congratulated all the winners.
The next game will be held on November 30 from 6:30. On December 7, the Gingers will be hosting their final monthly competition and prize-giving ceremony.
