Bhairavi Sungum hosts 31st annual ‘Day with our elderly parents’

The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host its 31st annual ‘Day with our elderly parents’ on December 1 at the Bakerton Community Centre at 11.30.

The event aims to show their appreciation to all senior citizens of Bakerton for their contribution to the upliftment and development of their community.

The day’s programme will start with a cultural presentation at the luncheon, followed by tea and cake, and end with the presentation of gifts.

There will be entertainment, competitions, songs, dances, and prizes to be won. The Sungum ensures this 31st anniversary will be memorable.

Poovershree Pillay, chairperson of Bhairavi, says they are looking forward to spending time with the seniors and ensuring the event will be memorable for them.

“Senior citizens are the backbone of our communities and deserve recognition for their significant contributions to society. We eagerly anticipate spending quality time with the seniors of Bakerton,” said Pillay.
