Mirage takes flight

The plane has been given the illusion of being in flight.

The Mirage 3 is airborne once more.

The plane, donated to and restored by the museum, received its final colours and was mounted on a pedestal to give it the illusion of a takeoff.

Founder and curator at the museum, Tony da Cruz, said this angle reflects the plane’s power and sophistication.
He thanked those who continue to support the museum.

“Again, thank you to Delmas Crane Hire for the unwavering support with logistics. Also, thank you to the museum team that pitched in to make today a success. Thank you to Den Akker for the amazing support with food and refreshments. Fanie and Neen (van Deventer), you are pillars of our community.”
