Springs community invited to experience cultural showcase at Sarasvathee Heritage Concert

The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host its annual Sarasvathee Celebrations and Heritage Concert, featuring performances from various community groups.

The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host its 29th annual multi-cultural Sarasvathee Celebrations with Heritage Concert at the Bakerton Community Hall on October 5.

The event, starting at 14:30, will unite Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati and Telugu communities for cultural performances in praise of Goddess Sarasvathee. Guest of honour Prabashini Gounder, an accomplished educator and contributor to arts and culture, will speak.

“Such cultural platforms show unity and embrace our diverse heritage,” said chairperson Poovershree Pillay.

Sungum has lined up a programme set to keep the audience glued to their seats. It includes cultural performances from fellow organisations, including the B&S Bhajan Group, the Benoni Tamil School board, Bhagwan Ka Divya Dhun, the SMR School of Music, Sarvavidya Natyaalaya, Shree Sitthi Vinayagar Alayam, the Springs Hindu Seva Samaj, the Springs Sanathan Ved Dharam Sabha, the Springs Sathya Sai Centre, Sri Raam Bhajana Mandiram and the Bhairavi Sungum of Springs.
