Springs Striders record new milestones following weekly time trial

The Springs Striders welcome anyone to their weekly 4km or 8km walks and runs.

The Springs Striders and the community laced up their running shoes to join the club’s popular weekly time trials on October 7. The time trial is a fun and inclusive event featuring a 4km or 8km walk or run.

The action kicks off every Tuesday at 17:45 from the Riverfield Shopping Centre in Petersfield. From young athletes to seasoned runners and casual walkers, the time trials bring the community together.

It’s not just about exercise, it’s about building friendships, staying active and enjoying a healthy dose of fresh air. This week, the club celebrated new records in the men’s course and the 4km with a few personal bests.

“Well done to all the runners who participated in our weekly time trial this week and thank you. You raised the bar this week to a whopping 53 entries,” said club member Nico De Nysschen.
