Carols by Candlelight 2025 has been supercharged and promises to be a weekend of fun for the entire family.
From November 28 to 30, the banks of Homestead Dam will be transformed into a magical Christmas wonderland, featuring a bustling market, a variety of food stalls, and, of course, loads of entertainment.
The event, held in aid of Homestead Helpers for Benoni, East Rand Palliative Care (ERPC) and the Benoni SPCA, will set the tone for a merry festive season, while raising funds for three of the city’s best-loved charity organisations.
The festivities will kick off at noon on November 28, featuring live entertainment.

At 19:00, on Friday, the lights will be dimmed for ERPC’s Candles of Remembrance ceremony, a moving tribute dedicated to honouring those who bravely fought against life-threatening diseases, forever living in our hearts.
During the ceremony, ERPC nursing staff will light candles of remembrance, inviting the community to do the same, filling the night with warmth, music and shared memories.
Candles will be on sale.
For the rest of the weekend, revellers can look forward to show-stopping performances by Tree63, Refentse, Ross Learmonth, Rubber Duc, Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels, Jo Black, the Ndlovu Youth Choir, the city’s own Benoni High Pipe Band and many more.
