Bhairavi Sungum to host its 32nd annual ‘Day with our elderly parents’

As the Bhairavi Sungum prepares to host its 32nd annual senior appreciation event, organisers encourage any Bakerton senior who has not received an invitation to contact the event team.

The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs will host its 32nd annual “Day with our elderly parents” on November 30 at the Bakerton Community Centre, starting at 11:30.

The event aims to show appreciation to all senior citizens of Bakerton for their invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the community.

The day’s programme will begin with a cultural presentation during the luncheon, followed by tea and cake, and will conclude with the presentation of gifts.

Bhairavi Sungum chairperson, Poovershree Pillay, said attendees can look forward to a memorable event filled with entertainment, competitions, songs, dances, and prizes to be won.

“We are excited to spend time with our seniors, providing them with a chance to reminisce with each other and giving us the opportunity to express our gratitude for their contributions to our community and society,” Pillay said.

She added that any senior citizen of Bakerton who has not received an invitation within a week before the event should contact Priya Naidoo on 082 422 0799 or Keanan Naidoo on 079 717 1141 with their details.
