Springs pageant queen named Mrs Supranational SA finalist

With multiple accolades and a spot in the Mrs Supranatural South Africa finals, Faith Chuma is inspiring girls to believe in their potential.

Faith Chuma (39) is determined to instil in girls the belief that their background should not determine their future.

The Struisbult resident, a Mrs South Africa semi-finalist in 2023, is a finalist in the Mrs Supranational South Africa competition.

“I am loving every minute of this journey. It is pushing me out of my comfort zone, stretching me and reminding me that I am capable. Anything I put my mind to, I can most certainly do,” Chuma said.

Born and raised in Katlehong, Chuma loved modelling from a young age. She entered various pageants and participated in fashion shows. At 16, she tried to enter the Miss Teen SA pageant, but was told she was too short, which left her discouraged.

Faith Chuma uses her voice and experience to inspire confidence and purpose in young girls.

However, in 2023, she took a leap of faith by entering the Mrs South Africa pageant, which marked the beginning of a journey filled with meaningful achievements.

In 2025, Chuma received the Miss Springs Supportive Mentor Award, was nominated for the Unplug Magazine Bravery Award, became a SafaUmsindo Clothing ambassador and served as a mentor for the Miss Springs pageant.

“My biggest and most meaningful milestone has been the opportunity to inspire women (young women, wives and mothers) to go after their dreams and that it is never too late to achieve your goals,” she said.

She attended Morojaneng Primary School, completed matric at Katlehong High School, obtained a bookkeeping diploma from the Boston Business School and has a business management higher certificate.

Faith Chuma is on a mission to empower young girls.

She now juggles being a wife and mother of two, and a full-time career, while studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Chuma says she aspires to be a beacon of hope and a voice of change in her community.

“I would like to make an impact that lasts beyond a title or a season, one that restores hope, dignity and opportunity, especially for women, children and youth who feel unseen or unheard,” she said.

Her plans are to establish and register her NPO, the Beacon of Youth Hope Foundation, and create programmes that provide support for young people.

“I strive to continue personal and professional development, because leadership requires constant growth, learning and self-awareness,” Chuma said.
