Former scouts invited to 110th anniversary celebration

For more than a century the troop has played a vital role in youth development.

Former members, leaders and supporters of the Second Boksburg (St Michael’s) Scout Group are invited to join the celebration of its 110th anniversary on June 13.

Established in 1916, the group has played an integral role in developing the city’s youth.

The celebration promises to be filled with nostalgic moments, the rekindling of old friendships, and the sharing of decades of Scouting memories.

The festivities will kick into action at the Masonic Hall, Jubilee Road, Boksburg South, at 17:30.
Tickets are R150 per person and include a meal.

A cash bar will be available.

Guests are urged to proudly don items from their old Scouting uniform as a tribute to the movement’s rich history.

For more information and tickets, contact Angela Coppin on 083 289 4423.
