Dog’s blog: My Em

It was rather good to see Alpha’s parental agents. I’ve got his father well trained.

I deposit my ball between his feet whilst he’s reading. He gives it a kick. Whilst this is not as good as actual tossing, it’s better than nothing. Alpha’s Mom is well trained too – she sneaks me tiddybits. I was sad to see them go.

Then Alpha was sick for a few days so I had to keep him company in bed.

Life was normal for the rest of the week… then Mom hauled all the stuff off Luan’s bed again.

Hmmm…. Wonder who’s coming to visit now?

But that thought got side-tracked when the wheelie box came out and in went a bunch of clothes from Alpha’s cupboard.

Next morning they loaded up stuff, Mom put Alpha’s backpack over her shoulder and off they went. My little heart sank straight down to my furry paws. I was being abandoned.

Feh! I should have more faith. Mom would never abandon me. In fact – it was a pretty good trade-off. She managed to lose Alpha but she brought me back a very nice surprise.

My Em!

Saw this little person come into the house and thought my woggledy whiskers! Have not smelt that delightful smell since Christmas time. Nearly knocked her flat. I love my Em.

Apart from loving her, I’ve got her really well trained too – plus her ball throwing skills are much better than Mom’s.

Noticed that Em smelt of cat… Hmm – not our cat – a different cat. Apparently the cat is called Maow-maows. She seems to have Maow-Maows well trained too. Or maybe he’s just grateful to have people that love him. (His ex-owners moved and left him behind. Em and Shaun adopted him.)

He brings them presents. Interesting stuff that wiggles – like mice and rats, which he deposits on the stairs and calls to his humans to come and see. Sometimes it’s the middle of the night and they are sleeping.

So Maow-Maows goes to the trouble of taking the present all the way upstairs and then leaves it on the bed.

Seems to me that Em is perhaps not always as grateful as she should be.

Once he brought them a present of a nice fresh muffin. Interesting thing was… they did not have any muffins in their house.

Quite a clever cat hey.
