Springs has an F1 racetrack

Since the opening of Selcourt Towers, Ramona Road has become a racetrack.

It seems as if everyone wants to get to the towers ASAP.

They start at Charteland Avenue, put full throttle and see how quickly they will get to Coaton Avenue.

Not to mention the overtaking!

Boy, that is even quicker.

And motorbikes do the same, the noise is unbelievable.

Residents of Ramona Road sometimes really battle to get out of their driveways.

The entrance and exit to the Towers is a bottleneck from all directions.

Especially on Saturdays, cars run halfway down Coaton Avenue into Wit Road and aslo along Ramona Road.

As far as I know, Ramona Road is not a main road, Wit Road is, so why is the heavy traffic using Ramona Road?

Surely something can be done to stop the speeding along Ramona Road?

Put speed humps at the intervals.

A sign should be put up at the Coaton and Charteland avenue entrances to Ramona Road.

There should be a slip road from Wit Road into the Towers to alleviate the bottleneck at the entrance.

Since we have such a nice shopping centre, why is the ground between Ramona and Wit Road not utilised?

An ice rink and Ster-Kinekor could be erected, this would also keep the children occupied during holidays.

With an ice rink, competitions could be held and also pantomimes.

Once again, this could also bring job opportunities.
