Home at last!

Fudge's summer holiday comes to an end

Must say – I met a lot of furry friends on this trip.

I’ve already told you about Bella and Zorro on the farm.

Then there was Meatball, Lucky and crabby old Milo on Christmas Day.

Not to mention that sneaky Grey Cat of Granma’s.

I also came across a dainty little Jack Russell named Kylie.

She’s an elderly (although she’s very spry for her age) doglet who belongs to some of mom’s relations.

We went to visit for a braai one hot windy day.

Was very cool – literally.

They had a nice beach-pool.

You are probably thinking what a silly little Fudges I am – getting my pools and my beaches mixed up but honestly – that’s what it was.

It had shallow bits around the outside and a deep bit in the middle.

I had a fine time playing with James and Jack in the water.

Could chase them up and down the shallow bits – while they swam to and fro in the middle.

Only fell into the deep bit once and could easily get out.

In case you are wondering… James and Jack are little boy humans – not dogs.

Kylie has her own cutie puppy too – also a little girl.

But Juliette is much younger than my Isabella is now.

Isabella is big and bouncy and quite cheeky sometimes.

We had great fun when we went to stay with them.

She’s at that lovely messy age where she likes to feed herself.

I stuck around and hovered up all the morsels.

Then slurped my tongue around her face to clean her up.

Bella wagged her finger at me… “No no Fudgie”.

I smirked… there was nothing left to clean.

She had a nice pink ball too.

Lauren whooshed it backwards and forwards in the swimming pool.

I chased it up and down outside whilst Bella hooted with laughter.

I stayed away from their meanie cat – Kittles.

We had a run-in last time I visited.

One day Alpha started packing the car.

Time to go home Fudges.

They sorted out my back-seat first because they know I always stupidly stress that somehow I might get left behind.

We drove and drove.

Every hour they’d stop and swop drivers.

Often Mom asked if I wanted a widdle?

Looked at her… Sheesh woman – just get us home already.

I’m looking forward to giving that Ralphie the nose!
