It started at 3.15pm, but when it came to 7pm, we still had no power.
After three attempts to contact the Ekurhuleni Call Centre, I was informed that Selcourt North was scheduled for load shedding.
We eventually received power at approximately 7.15pm.
However, I should like to enquire why the street behind us, namely Benquet Road, was not without electricity throughout the almost four hours.
I would assume that the load shedding would affect the whole Selcourt area.
This is not the first time this has occurred.
Lastly, I should also just like to add that since November, I have been trying to have our street light at our front gate attended to and have been given so many reference numbers, but with no success.
Ann Schallan.
* The streetlight was repaired last Friday.
The problem was a result of a break-in at the substation where electrical conductors and copper equipment was stolen.
