Payneville toilets are a waste of taxpayers’ money

A disgruntled pensioner from Bakerton wrote this letter.

As a taxpayer I need answers about the dilapidated Payneville toilets along Welgedacht Road.

Millions has been spent on the project, which has been unused for over five years.

Doors, window frames, roofing and bricks are stolen daily.

I am a pensioner and have a right to know why my taxes have been misused through government corruption.

Who has gained through my blood, sweat and tears?

Please give us honest answers.

Who has lined their pockets with my taxes?

Disgruntled pensioner.

* A security company was appointed just after the completion of installation of services and construction of toilet structures, in the hope that the court case will be resolved shortly afterwards.

The security had to then be stopped as it was not financially viable to keep them on site.

It was established that the costs to repair damaged toilets was far less than the costs to provide security to secure them.

At the moment there is a pending court case that may not be resolved.
