EMPD officer restores faith

Proud citizen from Petersfield Extension writes:

I want to give props to the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department for their astounding work on the roads lately.

Regularly travelling to various towns across Ekurhuleni, I constantly see EMPD officials on the road, doing their jobs.

Many people have a tendency to link police and bribery and, for the most part, they may be correct, but there are still many officers out there who have a passion for what they do and want to see justice fairly served.

I personally experienced this multiple times.

I recently saw an off-duty EMPD official going beyond the line of duty to ease traffic congestion caused by an out-of-order traffic light.

Stopping clear of the intersection, the officer, who was wearing civilian clothes, stepped out of the vehicle and started directing the traffic while smiling and making energetic gestures.

In that one moment, this man restored my faith in humanity.
