No stopping Toni

Since the Addie last spoke to Toni Jardine in May, this top South African ladies motocross rider has excelled in a number of races.

Wearing the colours of Ron Bailey, owner of the Roost KTM in Springs, Toni came back after breaking her hand in Spain, which forced her take time out from her busy motocross racing schedule, to compete in the Desert 100 in Botswana.

Her first race back started with drama as she was forced to pull out of the first day of the Desert 1000 when she experienced bike problems. However, this did not deter the determined 20-year-old who tackled the second day with vigor, picking up second place in the ladies challenge.

She then took on the Bell 400 held in Vryheid in July.

Toni put her trusty Roost EC Security KTM EXC 200 to the test against her closest rival Taye Perry who was on board a KTM EXC 450 and managed to pull off a win with a mere two seconds between them in the ladies class. She went on to complete the full distance race, taking fourth place in the OR4 Class.

The following weekend saw Toni, the only female competitor take part in the Pilgrims Rest National Enduro where she managed to place fourth out of a field of 15 Silver Class riders putting her in third place overall for the season.
